


3lb Chicken pieces
2 large onions
2 cartons natural yoghurt
1tsp Chilli powder
1/2 tsp Ginger powder
Large pinch of garlic powder
2 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 tsp Whole Jeera
4 oz Margarine or Ghee
4 Cardamoms
2 tsp Salt
Fry chicken in 2 oz of margarine or ghee to seal. Remove from
pot and put into a bowl.
Add a further 2 oz of fat to the pot and fry
one of the onions until brown, add chilli powder,
yoghurt,ginger,
garlic and salt. Simmer for a few minutes.
Add the chicken pieces
and add 1/2 pint of water.
Cover and
simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. After 20 minutes add the other chopped
onion,
garam masala,
whole jeera and cardamoms. Simmer for a further 30 -40 minutes.
