This is the very first aeroplane that I ever flew in and was the last
one that my father (Wally) ever flew in. The flight was
fairly
eventful. We were unable to land in Bombay as scheduled asa
fierce electrical storm was raging and we encountered severe turbulence
in the area. So having missed the first scheduled stop we
flew on
to Karachi. At Istanbul Yesilkoy airport when the engines
started
up there was a large sheet of flame came from the two engines
on
the side of the aircraft that I was sitting on and these engines gave
up about half an hour into the flight and so we were slightly delayed
in our arrival at Heathrow as we travelled on two engines.
